Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to provide services and goods are:
- Consent - we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- Contract – we have to collect or use the information so we can enter into or carry out a contract with you. All of your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.

- Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are: We collect and use personal information (such as names, email addresses, payment details, and gameplay interaction data) where it is necessary for the operation and improvement of our business and services. This includes: Delivering and supporting our games and digital content – ensuring that customers can access, download, and update products they have purchased. Customer support and communication – responding to enquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing updates about existing purchases. Service improvement and security – monitoring usage patterns and technical data to maintain server stability, prevent fraud, and improve gameplay experience. Marketing to existing customers – sending relevant information about similar products or updates, in line with UK data protection law. We believe these uses are a fair and necessary part of running our business, and they bring clear benefits to both our customers (who receive a secure, supported, and continuously improved service) and us as a company (enabling sustainable development and support). The impact on individuals is minimal, and their rights are respected, as we provide clear options to opt out of marketing communications and take steps to secure their data.

Product guarantees and entitlements – keeping accurate records of purchases and ownership so we can fulfil warranties, provide replacement keys, and honour customer rights. Security and fraud prevention – protecting accounts from unauthorised access, fraudulent activity, or misuse. Efficient support – enabling us to respond to queries about purchases, entitlements, and account issues quickly and effectively. This processing is necessary for both our customers and our company. Customers benefit by having a secure account system that ensures continued access to their purchases and guarantees are honoured. Our company benefits by being able to verify transactions, provide reliable customer service, and maintain trust in our products. The potential risks to individuals are minimal, and we actively mitigate them by securing customer data, limiting data use to what is strictly necessary, and offering transparency and control over account settings.

Handling claims – keeping accurate records to defend against false or fraudulent claims, and ensuring genuine claims are properly resolved. Improving services – using feedback from queries and complaints to make improvements to our products and customer support. This processing benefits customers by giving them a reliable way to have issues addressed, and it benefits our company by helping us resolve disputes, maintain trust, and reduce the risk of fraud. The potential risks to individuals are minimal, as the information used is limited to what is necessary for the specific query or claim, and we handle it securely and confidentially.
